Peel open package half way, while the applicator is still in the package, turn the sponge 45 degree clockwise using the handle to break internal plastic seal. Solution is released into the sponge once the seal is broken. Peel apart the package and remove the applicator. Do not touch the sponge tip. Apply the solution to procedure site; use repeated back anf forth strokes for at lease 30 seconds (dry sites) or 2 minutes (moist sites). Squeese the applicatr handle as needed to control flow of the antiseptic into the applicator sponge. Allow the solution to complete air dry (minimum of 3 minutes on hairless skin). Product is flammable until completely dry. Tuck towels as needed under the area to be prepped to absorb excess solution. Remove all antiseptic soaked materials prior to draping. Do not use on patients with known allergies to chlorhexidine or isopropyl alcohol. Not recommend for use on infants under 2 months of age.
