Job Description

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet defined quality standards throughout the production process. This role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies. The technician is also responsible for accurate documentation and supporting the release, rejection, or quarantine of materials based on inspection results.

Qualifications

  • Competent in the use of measuring tools (calipers, rulers, gauges) to perform in-process and final product inspections.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Experience in quality control, production, or manufacturing environments is an asset.

Skills

  • Attention to detail: Ability to spot non-conformities and accurately complete records.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with production, quality, and management teams.
  • Organizational skills: Efficiently manage paperwork, inspection checklists, and reports.
  • Good communication skills, in French and English to be able to communicate with international customers and auditors.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently while coordinating with other team members as needed.

Main Tasks

  • Ensures quality of the product.
  • Completes required documentation.
  • Follows GMP and SOPs in all steps.
  • Reports to QC Supervisor in case of any problems found in product or on floor.
  • Checks products and materials as per specs. Makes necessary documentations and forward them to QA for Disposition (Release, Reject, On-Hold, Quarantine) of Packaging Materials.
  • Monitors the premises and equipment cleaning. Supervise the cleaning and sanitation of signed sectors. Makes necessary documentations.
  • Inspects all received materials for production.
